Simple Pricing for Carpet & Rug Cleaning Services
At Master Clean Service Bay Area, we believe in transparent pricing and honest communication. Our carpet and rug cleaning services are designed to help refresh your home by removing everyday dirt, dust, allergens, and many common stains.
Carpet and rug cleaning is primarily offered as an add-on service for our recurring cleaning clients and move-out cleaning appointments. Standalone appointments may be available based on our schedule.
Our goal is to provide professional results while setting realistic expectations. Every carpet and rug is different, and factors such as age, wear, fiber type, staining, and previous damage can affect the final outcome.
Carpet Cleaning
Our carpet cleaning process uses a counter-rotating brush to loosen embedded soil, followed by a portable heated water extraction system to thoroughly rinse and remove dirt from the carpet fibers.
Typical drying time is 8 to 16 hours, depending on airflow, humidity, and ventilation.
While our cleaning process can dramatically improve the appearance of most carpets, please note:
- High-traffic areas may remain slightly darker due to permanent fiber wear.
- Some deep stains may lighten but cannot be completely removed.
- Ink, paint, dye, bleach, and permanent discoloration may remain after cleaning.
- Pet odor treatments can significantly reduce odors; however, odors caused by contamination beneath the carpet or subfloor cannot be guaranteed.
- Worn carpet fibers, previous repairs, loose seams, or poor installation may become more noticeable after cleaning.
- Some carpets and area rugs may temporarily develop ripples or wrinkles after cleaning as the fibers and backing absorb moisture. This is a normal part of the drying process and, in most cases, the carpet or rug will return to its original appearance as it dries. If rippling remains after the carpet is completely dry, it may indicate an existing installation or stretching issue that should be evaluated by a carpet repair specialist.
Although we take every precaution, existing wear, damage, loose seams, or installation issues are outside the scope of our cleaning service and may require professional repair.
If our technicians believe an additional cleaning pass would noticeably improve the results, we’ll discuss the option with you during your appointment. If appropriate, we’ll offer a second cleaning at 50% off the original room price when performed during the same visit.

Rug Cleaning
We clean most standard synthetic area rugs and runners using the same professional cleaning process as our carpet cleaning service. Our process includes a counter-rotating brush to loosen embedded soil, followed by a portable heated water extraction system to thoroughly rinse and remove dirt from the rug fibers.
Typical drying time is 8 to 16 hours, depending on airflow, humidity, and ventilation.
While our cleaning process can significantly improve the appearance of most rugs, please note:
- Some stains, discoloration, ink, paint, dyes, bleach marks, and permanent wear may remain after cleaning.
- Pet odor treatments can help reduce odors but cannot eliminate contamination that has penetrated the rug backing or underlying surface.
- Some rugs may temporarily develop ripples or wrinkles after cleaning as the fibers and backing absorb moisture. This is a normal part of the drying process and, in most cases, the rug will return to its original appearance once completely dry.
- We recommend allowing rugs to air dry completely on both sides before placing them back on finished flooring or returning furniture to the rug. This helps promote even drying and reduces the risk of trapped moisture.
- If requested, we can clean rugs in a clean, safe area on your property that is suitable for the cleaning and drying process.
- Once the cleaning is complete, the customer is responsible for ensuring the rug is properly dried and placed on an appropriate surface. Master Clean Service Bay Area is not responsible for damage to hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, concrete, subfloors, or other flooring surfaces resulting from rugs that remain damp or are placed back on finished flooring before they have completely dried.
Specialty Rug Notice
To protect delicate and valuable rugs, we do not clean specialty, handmade, or high-value rugs, including:
- Persian rugs
- Oriental rugs
- Asian rugs
- Silk rugs
- Hand-knotted rugs
- Antique rugs
- Jute rugs
- Sisal rugs
- Seagrass rugs
- Wool heirloom rugs
These rugs often require specialized cleaning methods, controlled drying environments, and restoration techniques that cannot be safely performed during an in-home cleaning appointment. We recommend taking these rugs to a professional rug cleaning company that specializes in cleaning and restoring handmade and specialty rugs.
