What Does a Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning Include?
A move-in/move-out cleaning is a detailed cleaning service designed for vacant or mostly empty homes before new occupants move in or after previous occupants have moved out. It focuses on thoroughly cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, closets, and other accessible spaces to help prepare the property for its next chapter.

Kitchen & Dining Room

Please note that some odors may become ingrained in cabinets and may require multiple cleaning sessions. Watermarks and rings cannot be removed from countertops. Our staff will identify any burnt grease on the stove and oven, grout stains, mineral buildup, rust, and discoloration on appliances, sinks, countertops, and cabinets.

Hard water marks, calcium buildup, and mineral buildup on fixtures, shower doors, showers, tubs, counters, and shower walls may require multiple cleaning attempts. We'll identify stained grout and suggest replacing any caulking or silicone with underlying mold. Discoloring or finish deterioration on tubs and shower floors will still look stained or dirty despite cleaning efforts. Persistent stains on tubs and floors will need several cleaning sessions to significantly reduce or completely remove them.

Our move-in/move-out cleaning is designed to professionally clean the property, not restore or repair it. Cleaning cannot reverse permanent staining, hard water etching, scratches, worn finishes, paint damage, mold remediation, surface restoration, construction debris or post-renovation cleanup, or removal of personal belongings or trash. We'll walk the property and tell you what we're seeing before we start, not after.
Preparing Your Home for Your Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning
To ensure we can provide the highest quality cleaning and complete your service efficiently, the property should be vacant, accessible, and ready for cleaning before our team arrives. Please complete the following before your scheduled appointment:
- Remove all personal belongings from the home, including closets, cabinets, drawers, shelving, and storage areas.
- Empty all refrigerators, freezers, pantries, and appliances.
- Remove all furniture unless prior arrangements have been made with our office.
- Ensure all movers, tenants, contractors, and other occupants have completely vacated the property before our arrival.
- Electricity must be active and available throughout the entire cleaning appointment.
- Running hot and cold water must be available for the duration of the service.
- Provide safe, unobstructed access to all rooms and areas included in your cleaning.
- Secure pets and ensure they are not inside the home during the cleaning appointment.
